I recently saw Moana 2 with my daughter. On the drive home from the cinema, I asked her if there was any lesson she had learned from the movie, and she said, “There is always another way!” I smiled, because that was the main lesson I had also taken from it. (Spoiler alert!) This powerful statement was made by another character to Moana, and it was key to bringing everything together in the end.
I often view life events and movies through the lens of Scripture, and this statement holds true even there. Your dream might not seem to be coming together the way you had planned, but keep at it—there is always another way.
Joseph’s story is a classic example of this concept. He dreamt of his family bowing down to him, indicating that he would become a prominent figure. I doubt he imagined that going to prison would be part of the journey to fulfill that dream—but that was the path he had to take.
Consider Abraham. When God promised that he would be the father of many nations, he had no children. Faced with delay and uncertainty, he and Sarah took matters into their own hands and had a child through Sarah’s maid, Hagar. But God had a better plan—one that defied human expectation. Sarah gave birth to Isaac at the age of 90. A miracle. A testimony. A powerful reminder that God’s path, though unconventional, is always intentional.
The Bible is full of stories like these—people whose journeys required paths that were significantly different from what they had likely originally envisioned for themselves. Often, the alternate path brought even greater blessings—not just for them, but for generations after them.
If God has a plan for your life—and He does—it will come to pass. The road may be longer, steeper, or unfamiliar, but don’t lose heart. Don’t give up on your dream or your calling. First, seek God’s direction to ensure your dream aligns with His will. Then move forward with faith and perseverance.
As Romans 8:28 (NKJV) reminds us:
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
And in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), God promises:
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
Believe God. Believe His words—and watch Him bring it all together in the end.
There is always another way.

Such beautiful inspiration!!! Indeed, there’s always a way. Truth is that, our ways are not His ways, yet He’ll bring to pass that which He has spoken of or promised. Thanks Tari for sharing this…
Amen! Thank you for reading and your comment!
Tari, thanks again for sharing your Holy Spitit insights! I’ve been struggling with what I should be doing to help bring income, it seems every time I start down a path there are roadblocks that bring that path to an end. I need to keep trusting and praying and asking God what His will is for me. Thanks for sharing this! And I love that you and your daughter have these conversations after seeing movies.
Matthew 6:25-34 came to my mind when I read your comment. I pray God clearly reveals to you his plan for your life and gives you the peace that you need. Remember “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”. Romans 8:28
